Healthcare Rally
Saturday, August 11, 2007
1:00-3:00 pm
First and Spring Streets
Los Angeles

The rally, which starts at 1:00 PM, will feature entertainment with Lily Tomlin, live music, celebrity hosts, victims of the health care crisis, and inspirational talks from California reform leaders. Scheduled speakers include State Senator Sheila Kuehl (author of SB 840), Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi, Dolores Huerta, Maria Elena Durazo, Andrew McGuire of the OneCareNow campaign and leaders of the State Strategy Group for SB 840.

Hi, I know a lot of you were wanting to make it out to the LA rally this Saturday, well here's good news, you don't have to drive, we've got a bus from Orange!

From CARA's Sandy Goldfarb:

"Hello everyone in and around Orange County:

I have just been informed that CSEA (California School Employees Association) has an extra bus leaving from their headquarters in Orange to The Great Healthcare Rally on Saturday.

Free seat and free lunch. What a deal. You just have to RSVP to reserve your space:

(714) 532-7122 -- Julie

Then you would go to meet the bus at their location by 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The address is:
326 W. Katella in Orange. Near Glassell. Located between the 57 & 55 Freeways. Ample room for parking your cars.

Although the rally location has plenty of trees, bring a hat and some sunscreen just in case. We will provide 3,000 bottles of water (Courtesty CTA) , but if 4,000 people come ... So bring some for yourself.

See you at the Rally!"

And Vern says: This will be a real exciting event, the culmination of OneCareNow's 365-Cities campaign for single-payer healthcare. Here's the flyer: http://www.onecarenow... See you there!
