A Few Signed Letters/Phone Calls Can Make The Difference In St. Pete City Council Appointment
Eve Joy -- an environmental lawyer, ex-hog farmer, multiple-property owner, and classic progressive -- ran a great campaign for council last year and was narrowly defeated. The members of City Council will now vote on who takes Bryan's seat.

We can easily show her support in two ways:

1) Write your own letter of support, or print out copies of the letter below. Get 5-10 of your friends to sign. Collect in a package and we will either have you mail them to Eve's Campaign address or collect them physically from you. Final strategy to be determined by Monday. Deadline: Oct 7. Keep your eyeballs peeled on your in box for updates, and if you're participating, please reply to M Fox <tampabaydemocracy@yahoo.com> and let me know so I can put a list together. If you gather 5 or more, I'll pick them up from you. If less than 5 send to:

Her legal training, professional experiences and community activities qualify her to participate in our City?s government and if appointed I have no doubt that she will do her homework, research issues and make fair judgments.

She received nearly thirteen thousand votes in the last election for that position, and I now add my vote to that count and whole-heartedly endorse her as our council-member in District 2.
